What Is AppleTalk?

AppleTalk is the suite of proprietary networking protocols developed by Apple Computer for their Macintosh computers and peripherals. First introduced in 1985 alongside the original LaserWriter, AppleTalk provided plug-and-play networking years before such concepts became mainstream.
